OUR PROCESS

The story always comes first, whether we're planning a design for a new bookish candle or literary inspired greeting card. Pulling from our favorite genres and tropes, we begin piecing together a one of a kind experience.

CRAFTING OUR PRODUCTS

We don't just tell stories: we build them. From initial sketch to final product, every detail is crafted with intention: the design of our labels; the hand-cut paper art; the fragrance notes of our candles. We test countless iterations until the story comes to life.

SUSTAINABILITY

While we celebrate the stories that bring us together, we aim to do so responsibly. We're not perfect, but we are continuously striving to find ways to improve our practices.

  • Paper & Packaging

    We choose sustainability first. Our paper products are made with post-consumer waste (PCW) recycled content and are FSC certified whenever possible, and we avoid petroleum-based byproducts such as single-use plastics, styrofoam, and plastic-based adhesives. Our packaging materials are 100% recyclable.

  • Our Candles

    Our custom soy-coconut wax blend is sustainably sourced, domestically produced, and free of paraffin, a petroleum byproduct common in other candle waxes. All candles are made with cotton core wicks and the highest quality phthalate-free fragrances for a clean, long-lasting burn. Our glass jars and tin lids are made in the USA and are fully recyclable after cleaning. All our products are handmade in small batches, too, so we can prioritize quality and reduce waste.     We're proud to partner with One Tree Planted to support reforestation efforts. For every purchase of a candle from our core collection, one tree is planted where it's needed most.
